Nashville, Tennessee is home to country music. Tourists from all over the world go to the city to see the sights and hear the country sounds of this city. Nashville is home to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum as well as many other venues for country and all other types of music (such as the Belcourt Theatre, and Ryman Auditorium). Every year a huge crowd gathers for the CMA Music Festival an almost week long event sponsored and hosted by the Country Music Association.

The city is also home to many "Honkey Tonk" bars, the Country Music Marathon, and the Country Music Association Awards - which is tevelvised nationally (to millions of people) every year.

Nashville is not all country, however, as there is also a large Christian pop and rock music industry. This industry has even created awards as well with the Gospel Music Association Dove Award being the largest. While there are 2 main types of music that dominate - all types of music can be heard in the city with such a diverse population.
